---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OSTUNI Stands with its White splendour on three hills, at the ends of the Murgia to 299 m. above sea level. Its territory extends for approximately 206 sq km by the last offshoots of the Murgia to the Adriatic Sea. The population of the municipality of Ostuni is about 33,000 inhabitants, tripling during the summer as a major tourist destination known throughout the world. The houses painted lime and the peculiar topography has earned epithets like fairy-tale White City, Queen of the olive trees and the city Manger. Its old town is a fascinating tangle of narrow and winding streets, a series of short, small squares and alleys that once belonged to five gates that opened in the city walls with towers, machicolations and hoardings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ALBEROBELLO rises on two hills, once interrupted by a riverbed. On the eastern hill there is the new town with modern architectural features while on the other, placed West Summit, rank the ' trulli ', a conurbation, divided into two districts: Monti and Aia Piccola, both a national monument, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO. The trullo dwellings are dominated by external use of stone to puff, the chiancole, which line the cone and create the wonderful urban centre, unique in the world, now all come to admire. It is stratified limestone rocks that, since birth of Alberobello, was made into the construction and material for covering of trulli. The history of this unique village dates back to the second half of the 16th century, when the area began to be populated by peasants who made ' Selva ' (so called). The local feudal lords allowed the settlers to build homes, so you can be able to dilute if directed inspection, as the birth of a conurbation demanded the payment of tribute; with the cunning proposal avoided the heavy tax. In the year 1797 by the intervention and help of King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, the small village became free.
